Reduced. Reused.
I like to experiment. I like to collect. I want to be sustainable.
The dimensional work that I create is a simple convergence of these three desires coming together.
Unrestricted by medium, this work seeks to comment on not only the spectrum of human emotion, but also on our capacity to produce, collect, waste, and disregard the things that come in and out of our lives. It is commentary of the covering up of our deep wounds with un-ending consumption. It started with simple collections like lighters, bottle caps and fortune cookie fortunes… and then it became grocery bags, paper bags, fabric, trash… how could I give new life and inferential context to what most view as garbage? Could I both recycle and create something beautiful? The answer is below.
